Are you passionate about legal advisory, regulatory compliance, and data protection? Holm Bank Latvia is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented General Lawyer to strengthen our growing international team!
Key Responsibilities:
Legal Counsel: Provide legal advice on contracts, regulatory matters, and risk management. Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents while ensuring compliance with laws and internal standards.
AML Contact Person: Serve as the main liaison with local regulatory authorities on anti-money laundering (AML) matters. Monitor activities, submit Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), and update AML policies.
Data Protection Officer: Lead the company's data protection efforts, ensuring GDPR compliance, managing data subject requests, and delivering privacy trainings.
Regulatory Communication: Maintain proactive communication with local supervisory authorities and monitor legislative changes to ensure timely compliance.
Group-Level Collaboration: Work closely with Group Legal and Compliance teams to localize and implement group-wide policies and strengthen the culture of compliance and good governance.

Requirements
Law degree
Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably including compliance or regulatory roles
Strong knowledge of AML regulations and data protection laws (e.g., GDPR)
Excellent communication, analytical, and ability to work independently and within cross-border teams
Willingness to take responsibility and initiative
Very good knowledge of Latvian and English
